In September 2015, 193 world leaders agreed to 17 Global Goals for Sustainable Development. If these Goals are completed, it would mean an end to extreme poverty, inequality and climate change by 2030.

• A partnership with Microsoft, using Microsoft Discovery, is supporting the development of machine learning models that predict and optimize chemical processes, including identifying materials for energy storage and the design of microbes with specific functions. AZOM
• Saudi Arabia's digital investment arm has been in talks around billion-dollar-scale telecom investment tied to Vision 2030, and Ericsson has extended its 6G research partnership with Saudi Arabia's KAUST university through 2026. 5G Training and 5G Certification
• Working in partnership with the NHS, Genomics England will complete the Generation Study, which will sequence the genomes of up to 100,000 newborn babies, with their parents' consent, to screen for more than 200 rare conditions. GOV.UK
